The tornadoes that struck Minden in the spring of 2024 changed the trajectory of our community. Homes filled with decades of memories were destroyed in an instant. Years of work poured into our businesses were erased.
What wasn’t lost, though, were our connections and our resilience. We’re moving forward with strength, seeking to better our community for the long-term. This process doesn’t happen overnight; rather, it will take years for our community to fully recover. Still, the time to start that work is now. Keep checking back on this page to see what’s happening and what’s coming soon.
Our long-term recovery efforts are being supported by the Iowa West Foundation, United Way of the Midlands Disaster Recovery Fund, and Pottawattamie County gaming funds. The City is grateful for their support.
